Mila, I noticed that you liked my note so I followed the trail to your publication to find this?

I tried following your breathing instructions just now, but got distracted counting my breaths and ended up just making weird snorting noises that made my neighbor ask if I was choking on a pretzel. The part about listening to your body really hit home - I once ignored mine during a yoga retreat and ended up in what I can only describe as an involuntary backbend that required three people to untangle.

Great writing, btw, so good that it makes wellness sound almost achievable, which is quite a feat considering I once bought a meditation cushion only to discover I'd been sitting on it upside down for three months

now about breathing: it can feel overwhelming at first, try without counting, to grab that sence of rhythm, technique and that after feeling.

Involuntary backband can be dangerous! You were lucky!
